Jake made his first appearance in 2008 and threatened to run away with the title after the first few holes. However, fatigue set in around hole 5, although he still finished a creditable 9th overall. Struck on the head by a tee shot from Lawle Guby himself in 2016, he managed to not die AND win the tournament. He retained the title in 2017, after a number of undeclared golf lessons, earning himself the title 'The New Charlatan'.

Jake is the son of Jacki and Trevor and lives in sunny Derbyshire, the home county of that other great player, Robert.
